My name is Rokas 'Toki'* Kirvelis and throughout the years I have described myself as a writer, researcher, amateur treasure hunter, history buff, science buff, even bodybuilder - something I still dabble in to this day. To say the least, I have had an amazing range of experiences and have learned enough to be able to take my knowledge and see how one thing relates to another. I am a person that believes in the Law of Attraction, I believe in helping people when possible, and I am someone that has always focused on small details.
That's something that comes into play when I'm out searching for interesting items. When I was a small kid of maybe four to five years old, I would go through a big bag of my mom's buttons for sewing and arrange them by color, etc.
A sextant from the 1800s. Was used to navigate ships by the stars.
I like to put together my own things including jewelry. Teaching myself, I have been able to more quickly pick up on what is fake and what is real when it comes to buying things like silver jewelry or gems. I also have a strong intuition as to what will sell. I have to take into account what's popular, what the quality is, if it's a designer item, social constructs, and actually a big list of complex interactions. But my mind does this normally.
My store is not just my store; it's my own collection. I don't sell anything I wouldn't collect myself. When I talk about collecting, I'm not just talking about typical collectibles like baseball cards but rather things like jewelry.
I was greatly inspired by a kind older person who showed me his collection of Sterling silver items. I was probably 11 or 12 years old at the time so this had a big impression on me. He had a medium cabinet with three shelves of intricate, possibly engraved silver pieces from pocket watches to silverware. It stuck with me ever since and I got myself my own version of what I wanted recently. It's a backlit shelf where I can put my most interesting things.
High grade turquoise necklaces; on the left is Egyptian blue turquoise. Very rare. In the cabinet at that time was Jade and Alabaster statues, vintage jewelry, some forms of ivory, specially engraved silver items including a Marine Corps cup, gemstones, handmade knife with deer antler handle, precious metals, and more. Small sample of our inventory.
And these are the things I'm selling. Everything is quality. I wouldn't buy it otherwise. I like to buy unique items rather than common things. I believe there's a sort of style to it.
I wanted you to know about me just a little bit so that you understand I'm an honest person who is truly hoping he can make a living doing this. I have a family I have to take care of now and I am on the verge of disability so work hasn't been steady. This store is my way out as I come from a family of entrepreneurs. I appreciate every single purchase and every single person that reads this or just checks out the website.
